For more than a decade I have marveled at the physical similarity of the jutted jaw, the imperial scowl, and the a-hole boss behind the face. In the 90s I met in the office of a prominent political consultant and current Trump operative who had a large photo of Mussolini in his office. I wasn't sure if he was trolling visitors, or it was a matter of true devotion, so after sharing my qualms with a couple people I forgot about it. Now it seems like it was true admiration.
I agree Trump is much more like Mussolini or Franco, and comparisons to Hitler undermine credibility.
Fortunately, this Pope is behaving better than previous ones, and Trump's incompetence and corruption will ultimately lead to his destruction. At least this is my hope...I've been wrong before.
Like everyone else chiming in here, I too saw the resemblance between tRump and Mussolini a while back -- but while doing a little research (not nearly as thorough as your digging, of course) -- I unearthed a tidbit that said the young Mussolini was a physical bully who literally beat people up for reasons that were not revealed.
tRump has always been big on having his dull-witted mesomorph minions physcially assault those he doesn't like, but he's never had the guts to perform such bruising dirty work himself ... so he paid others to do it.
But hey, why quibble over which deck chairs we should burn first as our country steams full speed ahead towards the waiting iceberg? Hitler, schmittler: tRump truly is the living embodiment of IL Douché.
