True. I haven't watched the Sunday morning parade of "news show" mendacity for many years now, but tune in the "PBS Newshour" every night ... and it drives me nuts when they host another supposed Q&A with any medium or high-ranking politician, who invariably ignores and evades the actual questions while spewing "talking points" at the speed and volume of Phalanx gun system.

"What's the fucking point?" I scream at the TV, nearly spilling my whiskey.

But ... maybe there is a point, at least for PBS. The other networks have been fatally compromised by tRump's threats, lawsuits, and Comb-over Caligula tactics, but PBS -- now free of government money, and thus no longer beholden to the Forces of GQP Evil -- can pretty much tell it like it is in a truly fair and balanced manner. That's the hope, anyway. So perhaps allowing these clowns to fully display what they really are -- bought-and-paid-for political goons -- will diminish the impact they might otherwise have.

Of course, most of the PBS audience already understands this, and since everyone else is still watching the Compromised Networks (or worse, Faux News), I'm not sure this would, could, or will move us closer to that happy day when tRump, Vance, Miller, Homan, Noem, Johnson, Graham, Cruz, and the rest of deplorables dangle by their necks from the cables of construction cranes, as is done in Iran and "The Handmaids's Tale" ... but hey, a guy can dream.
