It’s Sunday, so it’s mandatory dinner with Dad. I don’t mind. He’s not the greatest cook ever, but he always goes to a lot of effort. Tonight it’s Greek (duh) lamb meatballs with avocado goddess sauce, which is so delicious I’d put it on lobster or cornflakes. Also Greek (duh duh) pilaf. So that’s cool.
I can’t say I love love hanging with Dad. He’s a little irritable, by which I mean very, very irritable and he’s often mad about something or other. On Sundays, though, he’s usually kind of laid back. He cracks jokes and he doesn’t wear his ball cap. At this point I don’t even see the tat. I wonder if he never wore the cap if other people wouldn’t notice it after a while either.
