One quibble: the claim that 1/4 of American's believe Sandy Hook was covered-up by the government and the second claim that 1/5 of American's believe that all mass shootings are staged by the government... these are horse shit. The first claim comes from a "massive" poll of 863 registered voters, only 300 of whom answered the question "Some people are hiding the truth about the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in order to advance a political agenda." Of that 300, 75 said they agreed that "some people" are doing this. That's where the 25% "finding" comes from. I've not read Joe Uscinki's book "American Conspiracy Theories" and I couldn't find the results of his "study" online but it appears to come from a poll he conducted in 2016.
Polls results may be interesting and useful for dinner conversation but polls aren't science, they aren't facts. With the aim of ending disinformation, conspiracy and lies, I recommend leaving out any of this garbage "data" next time.
